1 Agreement to these Terms

By visiting, browsing, or using https://gradebookcalculator.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Site. Stop using the calculators and guides and close the page.

Notes on a specific tool or article apply only to that page and do not replace these Terms.

2 Who we are

GradebookCalculator.com is an independently operated educational website. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “the Site” refer to GradebookCalculator.com and the person responsible for operating it. We do not identify a separate registered company in these Terms.

The Site is not a school, college, university, registrar, district office, learning management system, or official gradebook. We do not enroll students, issue transcripts, certify GPAs, or record official marks.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of Canvas, Google Classroom, PowerSchool, Blackboard, Infinite Campus, any school district, or any college or university unless we state that in writing on the Site.

Questions go to info@gradebookcalculator.com or the Contact Us page.

3 Eligibility

The Site offers general-audience education utilities for high school, college, and middle school students, plus parents and teachers who want a quick math check.

Consistent with the Privacy Policy, the Site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 sent personal information through a contact form or email, write to info@gradebookcalculator.com so we can review and delete it where we control the record.

You are responsible for how you use results at your own school. Follow your syllabus, student handbook, and any rules your teacher or institution sets for sharing grades.

4 Description of the service

The Site provides free, browser-based calculators and explanatory articles. Tools may include:

  • GPA calculators for college, high school, and middle school
  • Grade, weighted grade, and semester grade calculators
  • Final grade / “what do I need on the final” calculators
  • EZ Grader / easy grader charts
  • Guides such as How to Calculate Grades and How to Raise GPA

Outputs depend on what you enter: scores, weights, credits, dropped items, extra credit, and the scale you select. If those inputs do not match your syllabus, the estimate will not match your official grade.

Some tools may offer a save or restore feature using browser storage. Availability and behavior can differ by calculator and browser. Unless a tool clearly explains otherwise, do not treat the Site as a backup service or an official student information system. Review the Privacy Policy for details about information handling.

We may add, change, pause, or remove tools, scales, or articles at any time. No account is required to use the public calculators.

5 License and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Site for personal, non-commercial academic planning. This is a license to use the pages and tools, not a transfer of ownership.

You may

  • Enter your own scores to estimate a course grade or GPA
  • Use a calculator in class as a teacher demonstration
  • Link to public pages on GradebookCalculator.com
  • Quote a short excerpt in a school assignment or blog post if you credit the Site and link back

You may not

  • Scrape or bulk-copy articles, tables, or calculator interfaces
  • Republish calculators or guides on another site as if they were yours
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract underlying code except as the law allows
  • Bypass security, rate limits, or access controls
  • Send malware, spam, or abusive automated traffic
  • Copy the Site wholesale to build a competing clone
  • Enter another person’s private education records you are not allowed to handle
  • Imply that the Site issued an official transcript or certified GPA
  • Remove copyright notices or mirror the Site on another server

The license ends if you break these rules. We may also end it at any time. After it ends, you must stop using downloaded copies of Site materials except for any short excerpt the law still allows.

6 User-entered information

You control what you type into a calculator. Avoid entering student ID numbers, government identification numbers, school-portal passwords, full official transcripts, or another person’s education records unless you are authorized to handle that information. Review the Privacy Policy before submitting information through any form or other feature.

If a calculator offers browser-based saving, saved entries may be removed when you clear site data, use a different browser or device, or change browser privacy settings. Do not rely on this feature as your only copy of academic information. See the Privacy Policy for the Site’s actual data practices.

Messages you send to info@gradebookcalculator.com or through the contact form are handled under the Privacy Policy.

7 Academic estimates

Every GPA, course average, letter conversion, and “grade needed on the final” result on the Site is an unofficial estimate. Official grades come only from the institution that teaches the course.

Schools do not all use the same rules. Differences that can change an official mark include:

Factor Why the Site result may differ
Scale and plus/minus cutoffs A 89.5% may be a B+ at one school and an A− at another
Rounding Some ledgers round at 0.5; others truncate
Curves and extra-credit caps A teacher may apply either after your raw scores
Dropped scores Lowest quiz dropped in the official book, but not in your inputs
Incomplete, pass/fail, or withdrawn codes Those codes are not the same as a letter on a 4.0 scale
Weighted vs. unweighted GPA Honors/AP/IB bumps vary by district and college

Use the Site to plan and to check arithmetic. Confirm standing in the school portal or with the instructor before you make a drop, retake, or appeal decision.

8 No academic, admissions, or professional advice

The Site is a math and explanation resource. It is not academic counseling, registrar advice, admissions advice, scholarship advice, financial aid advice, or legal advice.

A “grade needed on the final” figure can be algebraically correct and still differ from the teacher’s ledger if weights, dropped items, or rounding rules were entered incorrectly—or if the instructor changes the syllabus.

Do not treat a calculator output as a promise that you will pass, keep a scholarship, stay eligible for athletics, or gain admission.

9 Intellectual property

The Site name, logo, page layout, article copy, tables, and calculator interface are owned by the operator or used under license. You do not receive ownership of the tools or content by using them.

Quoting a short excerpt with a link back to the original page is allowed. Wholesale reuse of copy, grade-scale tables, or the calculator UI on another site is not.

“GradebookCalculator.com,” “GradebookCalc,” and related marks, if used on the Site, remain the operator’s marks. Do not use them in a way that suggests the Site certified your GPA or partnered with your school.

10 Advertising and monetization

The Site may be supported by advertising or other monetization methods. The availability of advertising services can change over time; this section does not represent that any particular advertising network is currently active.

Advertising, if displayed, is separate from the calculator formulas and results. Advertisers do not determine your calculated grade or GPA.

If third-party advertising or analytics services are used, those services may process information through cookies or similar technologies as described in the Privacy Policy. Please review that policy for the services actually used on the Site.

Do not click advertisements deceptively, automate ad interactions, or encourage others to click ads for the purpose of generating invalid activity.

11 Third-party links and tools

The Site may link to school portals, other calculators, articles, or vendor pages. We have not reviewed every linked site and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or accuracy.

A link is not an endorsement. School portals, Canvas, Google Classroom, PowerSchool, and similar systems are separate services. Your use of those services is between you and that provider. Use any linked site at your own risk.

12 Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all materials, calculators, and articles are provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not warrant that:

  • A result will match a specific teacher’s gradebook or registrar GPA
  • Content is free of typographical or formula errors
  • The Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time
  • The tools are fit for a particular purpose, such as an official appeal, transcript, or admissions file

We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law. Content may contain errors. We may change materials without notice. Do not rely on the Site as the only check of your official standing.

13 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of GradebookCalculator.com, and any suppliers or contributors, are not liable for damages arising from use of—or inability to use—the Site. That includes, without limitation:

  • Loss of data or locally saved calculator rows
  • Lost grades, lost academic opportunity, or a mismatch with an official ledger
  • Lost profits
  • Interruption of study, teaching, or other activity
  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

This limit applies even if we were told that such damage was possible.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits. If a limitation in these Terms is not allowed where you live, it applies to the maximum extent that law permits.

14 Indemnity

You agree to hold the operator of GradebookCalculator.com harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable costs (including attorneys’ fees) that arise from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your decision to treat an estimate as an official academic record.

15 Changes to the Site and to these Terms

We may update tools, articles, and these Terms. The date at the top and bottom of this page is the version that applies.

Continued use of the Site after a revised version is posted means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Site.

16 Termination

We may suspend or block access for abuse, scraping, ad fraud, attempts to break security, or other violations of these Terms.

Sections that reasonably should survive termination remain in effect, including intellectual property, academic-estimate warnings, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.

17 Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are subject to the laws that apply to the Site operator and the user, together with any mandatory consumer or other legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. We have not specified a particular state or country as the governing jurisdiction in this version of the Terms.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can understand the issue. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

These Terms do not create an attorney-client, teacher-student, or school-student relationship.

18 Contact

Email is the official channel for Terms questions.

We aim to reply to ordinary inquiries promptly, but these Terms are not a service-level agreement.
