Because the Syllabus is Confusing
We built the features that actually help you navigate college grading systems without tearing your hair out.
The “What If” Game
Instantly test scenarios. What happens if you completely bomb the next quiz? What if you get a perfect 100 on the essay? Find out before it happens.
Relative Weighting
It’s only week 4 and you’ve only completed 30% of the syllabus? Our calculator automatically adjusts the math to show your exact grade based *only* on what’s been graded so far.

The Student’s Academic Survival Guide
Why your school’s portal is probably lying to you, and how to take mathematical control of your GPA.
Why Canvas / Blackboard is Betraying You
We’ve all been there. You log into your school’s Learning Management System (LMS), see a beautiful 92%, and breathe a sigh of relief. A week later, you check again, and it’s plummeted to a 74%. What happened?
Here is the dirty secret of school grading portals: They usually ignore unsubmitted assignments. If a professor hasn’t put a solid “0” into the system for that quiz you missed, the system acts like the quiz never existed. It gives you a false sense of security. A dedicated current grade calculator forces you to confront the math honestly. If you know you bombed something that isn’t entered yet, you can use our tool to see exactly how much damage it will do once the professor updates the system.
The “Points” vs. “Weights” Dilemma
Professors generally fall into two categories when designing a syllabus, and you need to know which game you are playing:
The Points System
Everything is worth a set amount of points (e.g., Quiz = 10 pts, Final = 100 pts). The class total is usually 1,000 points.
How to use our tool: Just enter your percentage for each assignment and leave the “Weight” column blank. We will average them equally based on what you enter.
The Weight System
Categories matter. Homework might be 20%, Quizzes 30%, and the Final Exam a terrifying 50%.
How to use our tool: Enter the category name, your average in that category, and the weight (e.g., 50). Our math engine handles the rest.
How to Engineer an Academic Comeback
If the calculator just gave you a message saying “Time for an academic comeback ⚡,” don’t panic. Use the tool to your advantage. This is what you do:
- Input your current standing. Let’s say you have a 72% overall.
- Add a “Future Assignment” row. Name it “Final Exam” or “Final Essay”.
- Play with the numbers. Put in a 90% for that future grade and set the weight. Does it bring your overall grade up to an 80%? If not, try 95%.
This transforms your anxiety into a mathematical target. You no longer just “need to do well”—you know you need exactly an 88.5% on the final to keep your scholarship. That level of clarity is a superpower.
